My husband has intermittent nursing care. He's on Medicare. His Parkinson's/Lewy Body doctor thinks he should be in Palliative Care at home.

Palliative Care is similar to Hospice care, in which the goal is to keep the patient comfortable and pain-free to improve the quality of life. The difference between the two is that PALLIATIVE CARE CAN BE DONE WHILE THE PATIENT IS STILL RECEIVING TREATMENT FROM DOCTORS. With Hospice Care, the patient will have stopped all treatments by a doctor or doctors. I hope this helps.

I have been in hospice care for over a year. I would highly recommend it. Learn more from a provider.
