My dear friend has PD, lately he has had episodes where his eyelids close and he can’t voluntarily open them . He actually has to open them with his fingers. This occurs more than once a day. He has had DBS on both sides , his medication is almost no thing at this point. Anybody have this problem?
I cannot imagine how his meds are down to zero.....if his eyes are closing then then the indication is he probably need medication
Same symptoms as my partner. He's tried Botox, 5 rounds, doesn't seem to help though. It's stranger still that he can DRIVE with no problems. HOWEVER, I choose not to endanger others and myself, so he doesn't get to drive much....just out here in the desert! So, my theory is his brain is engaged and focused during driving. I can't seem to find a way to help him 😔
Today, the doctor said it is a symptom of PD....
A friend's father developed myasthenia gravis in later life, and the first symptom was involuntary eyelid closure
.
I had dbs and sometimes have trouble with my eyelids closing. Dr. Suggested Botox shots. Anyone gone through this. Also, has anyone had discomfort in their mouth or with gums after dbs?
My gums feel swollen and dentist said no gum disease and neurologist unsure this is related to my PD and dbs. I think it’s related since it started after surgery and would be too coincidental. Has anybody experienced this?
