Do you have shoulder and neck pain ?
A regular massage is the best way to take the stiffness away, l have. a massage once a week
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - the only thing I have found to address stiffness is stretching exercises - I do small stretches every time I stand up, hand/dexterity exercises several times a day, walk, and stretch my neck backward like standing at attention, swivel it left and right and cant my head from side to side. This may seem like a lot, but ten to thirty seconds several times a day is a small price to pay. I have my regular aerobic workouts four or five days a week, but I have done them most of my life.
I don't have any dyskinesia. I do have neck and shoulder stiffness accompanied by pain. I also take ropinerole and carbidopa-levadopa x3 daily. This has greatly helped other symptoms, tremors to some extent. But I still have some tremors.
Carbidopa-levodopa 25-100 ER twice daily and ropinerole HCL 5mg three times daily - moderately effective. No particular pain is associated, but significant stiffness.
lowreyjw Your suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have been doing some of those exersizes, apparently not often enough. Sounds like you know what you are talking about. So I'm going to practice more often. Thanks for the useful information from all. Smile and have good days everyday
