What happens if the DBS fails to work and makes you worse that you were before. this is the only thing that
worries me that i am worse than before.
My hubs got dbs seven yrs ago at 60. It stopped his tremor. He did well with it. Had it done at mt Sinai in nyc. Many trips down … $$ but worth it.
There are no guarantees in life & even less when you have PD. Do your research place your money on your choices and hope that you are not a wild exception to the statistics
🙂🤨😉
I really never had that thought before I went for my DBS procedure. I did much research on the subject, put it out as a question on this website and could only find one person who was dissatisfied with the result. I cannot say I am 100% happy with my results cause after 3 years, still cannot seem to find my perfect setting, I am still trying. Just make sure you have a good doctor. If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them. Bean
My wife received her DBS way back in 2005. UCSF/VA hospital. Gave her back many yrs. They carefully implant the probes with you awake for part of it.
My wife got DBS back in 2005. Still takes care of her tremors. She would do it again
