Research Loud Talk Therapy, for some it’s the answer...however, you have to do your exercises daily to be effective. Hope this helps!
I was told by the throat and voice specialist that they can do an operation on the vocal cords or botox the vocal cords to bring the voice box muscles together again. I was given exercises instead which involved loud noises which strengthened mine up . They look down with a scope and can see improvements etc. It helped a bit but my stuttering seems more to do with messages from the brain to my speech center.

Amen to that
The lack of volume is due totally to the PD. They do not hear themselves the way we hear them, they think they are speaking much louder than they really are. They also have diminished lung capacity. Two things can help. A Speech Pathologist/ Therapist who is educated in the "Big and Loud" program can help. This requires the patient to practice speaking loudly. The other thing is a device that you put in your ear. It creates background noise when you speak. This tells your mind you must speak louder because of the extra noise. I have a PD friend who uses this quite successfully. It is called SpeechVive. If the link below does not work, just google it.
