My Husband Who Has PD “freezes” Up At Night And Often Tells Me That He Can Not Breathe Properly. Does Anyone Have Advice For This?

He has had DBS and that has helped him. He does not take any meds at night which the neurologist recommended. Also he seems to be breathing fine to me. Any help?

Yes Earl has the same symptoms and only at night when he gets less medication.

Must need a pulmonary function evaluation test spirometry .it may determine how good you’re breathing

Often in the evening before we go to bed, my husband complains there's no air circulating in the house and he's having problems breathing although the temperature is good and we may have windows open (if not humid). I try to calm him down (he gets anxious). For whatever reason it's only at night. Usually when I turn the house fan on and he "feels" the air he's much better. I suppose being tested as suggested above is still a good idea.

I read an article about Parkinson's Wearing Off periods and it said that trouble breathing is also a side effect of "off" time. Best to check pulmonary ability as well. My hubby has the same thing.
