What tips or advice can you give to someone suffering with Parkinson's who sometimes struggles to pickup a cell phone and struggle to input the initial screen unlock code? I have friends who say: "If you need help with anything just call." I find that an impossible task at times. Thoughts? Ideas? Tips? I guess I may have to become friends with Siri first for my iPhone.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, get several touch-screen styluses and put one in each room that you frequent so you won't have to worry about carrying one with you. These things are amazing and allow the control you need to operate any touch-screen device.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, there are shorter versions of these styluses, but don't purchase them as they don't offer the control you need. Make sure that the styluses are at least as long as a standard pen. They also manufacture a combination stylus and retractable ink cartridge for writing that you may find helpful.
I set up the phone so there is no "unlock" code needed. I have enough troubles just answering it! LOL I've had both Android and iPhone and didn't have an unlock code for either. Ask Tech Support for your cell phone provider. I don't have any financial apps on my phone because of this.
Seems most people have smartphones. I don't but the stylus is a good idea also for us who don't. I am on limited income and stay with my Tracphone as long as they are around. My phone does all that I need which is calls and texts and voicemail..
Thank you so much. Sometimes I get lazy and voice text well let me tell you the things that have come up some not so good so I stopped that.
