Does anybody have recent experience with a device that will alert others if you have fallen? If I hit my head, it could be a long time before I wake up to press a button for help. Thanks in advance.
I have service with Alert1...i have a necklace that i wear and is sensitive to monitor falls...they also gave me a wrist device...It's a piece of mind to know that if i fall and hurt myself, i can push a button and get help from EMS. I pay $40 a month...well worth it...as much as i fall...
We got one for my mother-in-law. It was a device to wear on a cord around the neck. The company installed a transmitter box in her home. She complained it was uncomfortable to wear so often left it on her bedside table. She fell rolling her trash can to street and lay on the driveway for 4 hrs with fire ants biting her. So if you get one you must wear it!
some local councils run a careine or you can find them online. You have a phone system installed in your house and you also wear a small alarm around your neck or as a bracelet that you can activate in an emergency. Not very expensive at all.

I was only asking my gym owner this morning about the very same thing because he has one of the newest Apple watches. They will send a signal if you fall and are unable to get up. The only drawbacks are you have to have an Apple phone to synchronise the watch with!!! Put the cost of the phone and watch together and you are likely to need the use of both because you will have passed out from hearing the cost!!!!!
My son in-law set me up with ADT Health. Here is there contact (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators). I have been very happy with them.
