Hello All - A close friend was asking how my husband was doing (has had Parkinsons for 5 years) and I mentioned how "goofy" he some times gets, more noticeably later in the day or evening, and she said "sounds like he has sundowner's syndrome." Her Mother suffered from Alzheimers and she said much what I described happened to her Mom. I didn't make connection until now. Yes , my husband has had symptoms as those described as "sundowners"
recently. Has also been taking namenda for about a year and carbadopa for over 5 years.
Unfortunately dementia is progressing.
