If so how happy are you with them and do you have any side effects.

I know exactly what you mean elinor, it does drag you down. I`m afraid I tell my hubby to stop feeling sorry for himself sometimes. I always say there are lots worse off. I have a few problems myself but just don`t have time to think about them now. I do as much as I can and find myself struggling sometimes. I have an auto immune disease and don`t always feel great. It`s hard but I`m sure you`re doing a great job and we can but hope there is a cure for this awful disease soon. Research seems to be getting better all the time!

The whole medicine issue is a puzzle to me. I try to read up a bit as I wonder sometimes if there is anything better. I suppose everyone wonders about that just as we wonder if they will get improved treatments in our lifetime. I suppose we can only hope. I don't mean to sound negative. My husband is having off spells at the moment and that drags me down a bit. When he is feeling better I am more upbeat!!!
Best wishes to all

I started the 2MG Neuro patch 2 months ago. i had reduced myself to 2 doses of Stalevo and Amantadine a day so that i could reduce Dyskinesia because it had gotten too strong. That worked for two years but off times became more challenging with progression. The Neuro patch keeps a minimum of dopamine action in me 24 hours a day. For my situation it helped.

Yes I totally agree. No benefit whatsoever. A bit disappointing as we were hoping to see an improvement in his balance. We have a meeting with the Parkinson's Nurse in March so will see if there is another option. His poor balance is now impacting on what we can do.

Yes, I tried that combo once, but the patch had too many side effects, red rash, and hullucinations. Stalevo is a combination carb/levo/Compton and it has very little side
effects for me. Do not get generic Stalevo, be sure it is made in a us pharma, India and
other countries fail in providing all that is in Stalevo. Studies show generic does not
meet standards.
