The last four months I have been struggling with severe nausea. It has really transformed my life. In fact, I think it’s taking away the quality of my life. I’m nauseated from the time I get up in the morning till the time I go to sleep. The only break I get is when I sleep. Does anybody else deal/have dealt with nausea? What do you do to help relieve the nausea?
Linda Frances is absolutely right motiilium also goes by the name domperidone. Metaclopramide also called maxalon should be avoided it reacts adversely with pd meds
🙃
Possibly might be related to other meds u take. Ask your specialist about trying Domperidone. Look Domperidone up in Wiki. It helps with heartburn and nausea. I take it about 15 minutes before other meds.
If you are suffering with severe nausea, it could be a side effect of your medications. Many people will tell you that you cannot take anti nausea medications with Parkinson's medications. Please check with your doctor and ask him about a medication called motillium. This was prescribed for me by Parkinson's consultants as an anti nausea medication, but you need to consult your PD doctor first, to see if there is some other reason they have not suggested it for you. Hope this helps. Linda Francis
So are you feeling any benefits from the medication at all?
,I was very sick to begin with and if I hadnt decided to stick with it for 6 months I think I would have been off it after 6 weeks, you could try the domperidone closer to meal time asThunderoad suggest
What medicines are you taking and how much
