Perhaps instead of suffering your off periods you should get some advice about combating them. IIt might be a way of helping the situation Talking to one another is a big step to dealing with it.PD has intruded into your lives and it has horrible words attached to it. Incurable degenerative progressive. But wellness with illness is possible and chances of a normlal life expectancy are good thanks to the drugs we have available. There is much to be hopeful about acceptance takes many steps forward not just one. Good luck

Azilect slows the breakdown of dopamine and other brain chemicals. Also known as Rasagaline. Its sometimes prescribed to work alongside carbidopa levodopa which helps replace dopamine being lost due to PD. I have been taking it for 2 years. It doesn't help with your symptoms such as tremors however. As it was explained to me by my Dr, it works in the background to help slow down the progression of PD. Hope that answers your question.

I know it’s difficult but patience is a requirement for a couple living with PD.

I sometimes wonder why my wife doesn't treat me better when in my off periods. The best I come up with is that she can't accept that I have PD
