I have been having sudden severe vertigo attacks on and off for 20 years and PD for 15 yrs. I am told I get this during vertigo attacks. I have not had any successful treatment for this despite seeing a specialist. Do not know if this is relevant to you, but thought it could be of interest. Hope you do not suffer vertigo attacks but stopping driving is sensible if very frustrating. A sudden attack whilst driving could be lethal. Best wishes.
