Do You Have Odd Memories From Early Childhood?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have odd memories coming back and random times? Some good, some not, some horrible but all so far that can be verified as true are true. Some from very early childhood, some from a period of time I was reacting unknowingly to dopamine agonist. Just wondering if I'm the only one?

Geez...I have weird memory's. Mine are true, sad and as people say, "You should write a book!' 😉
My mom was seven when hitler invaded her hometown of Amsterdam. She and her younger brother were split from her four siblings.
She lived in 27 Different foster homed.
Abused every which way-She met my DaD who was in the Army while he was in Holland on leave. They met & married in five days!!
I was born in Weisbaden Germany in a U.S. Army/Air Force Base.
My mama had nervous breakdowns many time's and my being the oldest-I was a 'young version of a mom' while she was away.' I Never knew when it would happen. I had two younger brother's.
My father was a workaholic to avoid the pain.
So needless to say, I'm a mess!!😉🌷 God loves me and we're making our way through undoing what's been done. No blaming anyone...life happened and God's getting me through.
Anyways I've got my own set of stories.
My sweet mama passed away in Oct. 2004 of Alzheimer's...Did helped dad take care of her. It was my pleasure-I felt so bad listening to her digressions. She lived a helluva life...She wrote/published poems, was in artist who painted. It's amazing what a person can become after a crazy life.😇
Okay I'm out...back later.

I can remember before I could talk. I remember teaching myself how to climb out of the crib, deciding whether or not to try eating the puffy cotton designs on my 1950's bedspread, and when my parents were sleeping in, whether or not to get up, walk across the cold hardwood floor in my bare feet to use the toilet or whether to wet the bed. The cold floor always lost that one.
I remember the little old man with the white hair who tuned our piano. I remember being so excitred to go to the circus that I couldn't sleep at naptime but slept through the circus. I remember the first movie I ever saw (at age 2), Cecile B. DeMille's The 10 Commandments - at a drive-in movie theater.

All I can say now is the dreams I have are extremely vivid. Not necessarily childhood memories, I have enough of them when I am awake (PTSD) but asleep they r colorful and I talk back to them

Yes...I'm an adult in all of them and my siblings are just
kids. Weird stuff.
