let me know about the pain you experienced. The pain seems concentrated around the back of my neck and the middle of the front of my neck, neither place has any incisions there. I was told to take Alleve or if that does not work, Tramadol. Both are not working. Bean

I had DBS in 2013.
The Dr. prescribed about 3 days worth of pain medication. He said wether I was hurting or not to take the medicatíon. After that he told me to continue with Tylenol or Acetometaphine if I was still in pain and to let him know if I needed to take the extra over the counter medicatíon. I never felt any pain so I am not sure if it was because I took the pain medication when it was given.

I had DBS in 2012. I am guessing that your neck is strained badly from the position you were in during brain surgery. My pain was head ache and scalp entry points. I needed painkillers (opiates) a week or so. Don’t let anyone tell you there is no pain involved. Also, the cables run in the neck under your skin: this can cause tethering pain. Take care— the surgery has really helped so hang in there! :)

Have you contacted the Dr.? I don't remember the pain you are describing. I have neck pain located like you describe but had that before surgery which I associated with arthritis. I to have my first neurostimulator replaced the 17th.
