I actually don’t know the window for when they won’t do DBS. I do know you can not have any memory problems, because they wake you up in the middle of the surgery to ask you questions.

I needed to know that my doctor was well qualified. Since she created the DBS department over 10 years ago, that gave me my faith in her.

Hi. I was diagnosed in 2012. I had an extremely difficult time with the shakes, the dr here suggested DBS surgery. You have a have the disease for at least 5 years and go through av6 hr memory test to qualify. I’m 2017 I had the surgery. I no longer shake. I know it’s scary, but over rated because the results are so worth it!
