My father has Parkinsons and he will be doing something and just stop. He is staring into space for 15-40 minutes or more. Sometimes he can't get his feet to move, is there anything I can do to break into his staring and help him to continue to move and not stop? Thank you for your help.

Talk to the neurologist. There are therapies that can help. Is he a candidate for DBS?
