Has Anyone Combined Ogentys With Rytary To Help With Off Periods And How Is It Working
Ongentys (Opicapone) is used as an adjunctive treatment to levodopa and carbidopa, which includes Rytary, for people with Parkinson's experiencing "off" episodes. Ongentys works by preventing the breakdown of levodopa, allowing more of it to enter the brain and convert to dopamine, thus helping to manage symptoms.

Yes, I was already on Rytary and my doc added Ongentys for me several months ago and it does seem to help with off periods, but I'm in the process of moving to Medicare and no Plan D's cover it at all and it's super expensive.. Don't think I'm going to be able to afford it. I'm not sure it's worth the price to avoid being "off" a couple times a day. Has anyone found a way to make it affordable?
No but my neurologist gave me the ok to take extra meds when this happens
