I am trying to find a support group for my daughter and I. My husband is 57 years old and was diagnosed with PD. We are looking for something where we can learn kind of "what to expect" and get help with this overall. I don't know where we can go to get advice, receive support. We have questions and are unsure where to even start with this. Any advice or suggestions would be more than welcomed.

As soon as I was diagnosed I bought at least 8 different books. I tried to find the view from the research teams, the doctors, the therapist, the caregivers and from a patient. Although no one can tell us what we will experience there are many common symptoms most of us have. Also understand the big picture of the disease helps me. It’s hard to tell what is from Parkinsons, and what is just aging. I also have some unique health issues so it’s tough to know what’s causing what.
Something that helps me tremendously is going a place called StretchLab. They are in many cities. It’s intense stretching by a therapist, reflexologist etc. it feels so very good and a one hour session lasts me all week. More is even better. It helps my balance a great deal also. Another thing that’s available in most cities is called Big Therapy. These exercises are designed for Parkinsons patients only. The idea is making large reaching movements to help your brain remember how we are physically ssupposed to move. This disease robs us of movement in the long term so stretching is vital for us.
