Does Anyone Have The Trick To Picking Up Food With A Fork Or Spoon And Getting It All The Way To The Mouth?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve got an additional problem getting my food on the utensils and into my mouth-my skull and neck are fused together so I can never again turn my head in any direction. But I have to believe there’s got to be a way to get it on and to my mouth. My hand tremors are, in my opinion, quite advanced. Thanks everyone.

The particular kit I got on Amazon is called Kebado Elderly Gift Set. It was about $25-$30. It has one each soup spoon, tablespoon, fork and knife. It also came with four fat weighted ink pens. I’m going to try the soup spoon at lunch.🤔

Since the weighted utensils kit I got only had 1 fork I’m going to try to find a kit with maybe 4 forks only. But I do like the idea of the vibrating one. Gonna see if I can find anything more on it. I feel like I’m a woman on a mission (lol).

I used the soup spoon for a bowl of white beans (southern comfort food). I need to get used to the weight in my hand but my tremors subsided and I didn’t spill anything!!

Try a spork ( spoon fork combo) really helps and is same as regular fork in weight and handle

Weighted utensils didn't work for my husband, but a spork works wonders. I carry one with us when we go out. Then he doesn't feel embarrassed when he eats. The food makes it to his mouth.
