If I stand and don't move a lot (cooking, feeding dogs) my knees feel shaky, my toes curl under, sometimes feel like insides are shaking. I get palpitations in throat. Clonazepam combined with propranolol helps. Already take carbidopa levodopa twice a day. Neurologist doesn't think these are Parkinson's symptoms . Has anyone else experienced this?
Kris I have Orthostatic Tremor Syndrome which causes shaky legs when standing. It is considered rare.Does the shaking stop if you sit or walk?

Kris I understand how you feel about carbidopa levadopa . But to my. knowledge , which may be limited, there is no medication that cures or slows the progression of PD .They all seem to be intended to treat symptoms .I was switched from c/! to Rytary since I cannot tolerate large doses of c/l even the slow release. I took propranolol and still am on a low dose of cloneazepam. The propranolol was prescribed for high blood pressure which is no longer a problem and was actually causing more tremors. I guess the point is that each of us has unique needs for and reactions to the same meds. I hope you will find what works best for you.

I had the curling toes which were very painful and had trouble walking. When I had my DBS surgery, it went away. Bean
The point of the c/l is it lessens the symptoms. My husband's tremors are much better, he stopped festinating and he stopped falling after he started c/l. He takes 2 pills 3 times a day and it has made a difference.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member. DBS cured that problem for me. Bean
