See a good Podiatrist who is familiar with "breaking" some of the ligaments in the toes. I have had both feet done - called a surgery but done in the office - in fairly short order and only a local is needed. You will be AMAZED at the relief - it is instantaneous. Mine were done about 2 or 3 years ago and it is still working like it did when it w as first done. Good luck and hope you get relief quickly!

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - I think a good podiatrist can make him a stint that fits in his shoe that can uncurl them and help hold them straight until they quit doing this. I used to work with a teenaged girl who was developmentally disabled whose big toe curled over the 2nd toe and the last 4 toes curled under so far that she was walking on the tops of her toes, not the bottoms! I would massage the toes gently and pull them away from each other a little, supporting them, then put the 2nd toe over the big toe before bed or before putting on her shoes. I wonder if that Yoga toes separator would help?

This is called Dystonia and is common with Parkinsons. It results in, tightened muscles e.g. toes curled under. Other variations are also evidenced.
With me it is a sign of low levels of Dopamine. So three thigs to do 1) make sure youi get your levels up prior to going for a walk, 2)take a Controlled Release (Sinemet) drug when going to bed and it will keep the levels high when out for an early morning walk. 3) if outside and cannot get home then press your toes against a tree or pole and press the toes back to normal - hard. Talk to your doctor for meds in Point 1 and 2 above.
Hope this helps

Might be dystonia. Are you taking carbo/levodopa? That helps. Also try frequent massage. If a banana a day, or potassium/magnesium/vitamin B complex doesn't help, talk with your neurologist.

Yes! This right foot just goes off on a tangent all by itself. My big toe feels like it's broken and often my toes curl into fists. My toes are becoming deformed as well as the toenail. It's very painful
