My husband started medication for Parkinson's Disease. Carbidopa Levidopa
25-50 before meals. AndRopinirole.5 mg
3 times a day. Omg, can't keep him awake to eat.
I wish I could help, but unfortunately I and a number of others experience just the opposite. I have heard many others say too that they sleep all the time. I sometimes wish I had more of that problem. I guess the middle would be a good place to be. I’m sure with this problem someone who is experiencing it too will contact you .
JoanMoore,
I rarely sleep but something weird has been happening. On the weekend last week ..both days.. I was setting in my chair next to my husband in his chair. We were talking and suddenly I started talking pretty much nonsense & I said to my husband "what happened?" he answered he didn't[ know. I did it several times on both Saturday and Sunday. We finally came to the conclusion that I had fallen to sleep each time. My nonsense talking could have been falling right into my REM sleep mode which I have never done during the day. Lack of sleep and rest is definately old Parkie at work on us and on the other hand he works on others by making them sleep a lot. Too much and/or too little sleep is a powerful weapon. If I knew why I certainly would share it with you. Hugs!
Yo might check to side effects of the meds you take.
I zone out and don't realize it's happening. I have taken myself off the road because of that. At times I drop off to sleep every time I get still. Some days I'm fine.
