I was recently diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome, which has many issues. It is an auto immune disorder. I was once thought to have Fibromyalgia. However, my present rheumatologist did bloodwork for this, as I had more symptoms than chronic fatigue ie., burning mouth syndrome & chronic pain. The bloodwork was positive for Sjorgen's. She has prescribed Plaquenil (sp), which I haven't started yet. It is to help with the musculoskeletal pain & fatigue. It is also longtime used to treat Malaria. This is all new, so I am trying to digest it.

Hi Ralaela, My hubby’s had Parkinson since 2012, we’re turning the road hopefully on the last of the journey. Fatigue has been with him for awhile, as the meds needed to be increased, so the side effect of the fatigue/lethargy increased. Maybe, your hubby’s body just cant tolerate this side effect, there’s not many other drugs that’ll slow tremors & releave spasticity. His attention span at the moment is about 15 min before he stares off or just drifts into another catnap, which now, can be longer lasting. Keep researching online for any info about extreme fatigue & Parkinson. You never know, you just might find something. Good Luck and God Bless

You are the first PD patient who has had this. We have asked so many doctors what is causing this extreme exhaustion and is it a symptom of PD and have yet to receive an answer. Very frustrating as there doesn't seem to be anything you can do about it.

My client also has extreme exhaustion. She will feel good for half a day or sometimes even just a couple hours but then the next day she stay in bed all day. Sometimes she says that her feet feel like they're in a bucket of sand and her arms are like jello and she just can't even hold herself up oh, then there's times where she's in the kitchen trying to clean the kitchen cupboards and scrub the floor. It seems like there's almost a pattern to it oh, like the smallest amount of exerted energy just completely wears her out. I remember Christmas time she wanted to have dinner with some friends and although I did all the preparation and the dinner Etc she wanted to get ready and look beautiful. Week earlier hair and put on her makeup got in a nice outfit and by the time we were done she was so tired she didn't want to do dinner anymore. I have no sound advice for you I just wanted to let you know that Mary also experiences fatigue, you're not alone.
