I lost almost 70 lbs the first 9 months after my PD diagnosis. Now I had had symptoms for quite a while before my diagnosis. But I lost the weight without trying and no one would listen. I told my doctor, I told my neurologist. All they said was that was good because I was overweight at the start. Now I struggle with my appetite and to keep what weight I have on. Everyone thinks I'm too skinny. Does anyone have a problem with weight?
Teresa: Bless you. I have been having a lot of difficulty with constantly feeling full and very little appetite. I have never heard of gastroperesis and now am being referred to a gastroenterologist for tests. This site and members like you are invaluable.

I did go from 225 to 175 but I quit drinking beer which was my crutch against Parkinson while creating other problems so no more I been off that for over one and half years I started exercising boxing now I'm at 194 and feel and look better than I have in years
I was over weight when I found out about PD I have lost 86 pounds I still need to lose more I have been dieting for over 1year and walk 1mile a day.
I have lost 40 lbs. It has made me weaker as well. Stay active but be responsible. I drink a boost with fiber everyday and it helps with being much more regular on the potty. Good luck! Bob
