Members related strongly to feeling fatigued and unmotivated to exercise, sharing honest struggles with getting started each day. Several members offered practical strategies that work for them, including playing upbeat music to spark movement, planning activity around medication timing, setting a firm start time, and committing to water exercise. A recurring theme was that the hardest part is simply getting up, and that once moving, most members feel noticeably better and even great after finishing.

When I feel like I can’t exercise, I know I need to and I make myself get up. Once I’m up and moving I feel better. Once I’ve completed the exercise I feel great. The first move is the hardest, but you can do it!

Me too. It's really hard to get out of the chair sometimes. I find playing loud music helps me get up and do some marching on the spot or dancing. Currently Bob Marley does it for me! Good luck 😁

With exercise, motivation can be fleeting, so discipline is needed to get started. I'm a runner and there are days I really don't want to do my miles. However, I know I will feel better after I'm done, even on the days that the running is more difficult. So I set a time that I have to get started, and then do it, whether I'm in the mood or not. Same with walking the dog. When it's hot or really cold, I may prefer to stay indoors, but I know our dog needs the exercise and really looks forward to it, so we got out, rain or shine, every single day.

Me too. I keep promising myself to start exercising bcs I know it will make me feel better. However, I wake up tired & can't get myself to do much of anything. Plus I got new Migraine meds that cause tiredness. It's the last thing I need, but I get disappointed that I can't do what I know will help.
