My husband's always cold. He would keep the heat at 75 degrees if he could I draw the limit to 71. I'm always warm and comfortable and would set thermostat set @ 66 if I could. Is this prevalent with PD? Any suggestions for him to stay warm at night? He uses 5 blankets and an electric blanket. He has driven me out to the guest bedroom.

When I look to my left, I see a heater. My wife thinks I’m insane, but I’m cold.

Parkinson’s screws up your temperature regulation. It can go either way.

I am often cold, but what bothers me the most is cold feet! I use a heating pad to warm my feet if I am in bed or lying down. There doesn’t seem to be any reason that my feet sometimes are freezing, bu then, for no apparent reason, no more cold feet for awhile.

Sounds like my husband. He wears a fleece jacket when the temperature is under 75 and uses a hotpad for his back and still wants the heat turned up. We have a space heater in the office where he spends most of his time. It will be on most of the winter so I can go into another room to be comfortable while he happily bakes. This is definitely something that has only arisen in the past few years, but he also used to be much more active. Sitting all day lowers your metabolism.

If you’re only cold in your extremities,‘especially your lower extremities, you need to get that checked out!
