Parkinson's And Meningioma

A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭
San Rafael, CA

Hi, My mother has Parkinson's and was just diagnosed with a meningioma.
Her neurologist stated that because she's been responsive to her Parkinson's medicine over the past three years, the meningioma is not causing her Parkinson's symptoms.
I'm curious if anyone else has any experience with having both Parkinson's and a brain tumor, etc.

Thank you

I have a meningioma that was discovered in 2013, so almost 10 years. My tumor is under the frontal lobe. I used to have MRI's every year, but now I just have to have one every two years. My Neurosurgeon is looking for growth and so far, there hasn't been any. I also go to my Opthamologist every year. My Neurosurgeon wants me to. He says that the next change would be to my peripheral vision, if the tumor grew.
