I am on dopamine agonist currently and it's not working for me because there is no on time after taking medication. I feel the same with or without medicine and i am very discouraged. I don't know why Doctor's first choice wasn't a levadopa.
Did anyone ask their Neurologist this question? Respectfully, I think my Neurologist knows more about what drugs I should be taking versus a member of this site. Always ask the professional first. EVERYONE reacts differently to certain medications.
Take Care!

I do not have an answer as I too am choosing to not take either medication. I tried LD for a short time and I decided not to go there. I was miserable.
It appears to me everyone gets the LevaDopa once diagnosed. I could not handle it so I stopped it. My new doctor feels if you feel better with the meds that is fine. None cure us, they just make some feel better. I still do not take any meds.
Ask your Neurologist!
Hi! Judie
Thank you for your respond.
Now, I am on carvadopa/levadopa plus dopamine agonist and I feel much better now. My walking definitely improved.
Dopamine agonist didn't do much for me but levadopa did.
Hopefully this last awhile.
Wish you the best and so glad to share story with you.
