Extremely Painful Toes
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

As my toes frequently claw it means when I’m walking I’m putting pressure on the tips of my toes, this in turn causes a build up of hard skin and corns. I regularly attend a podiatrist and I also attended a physiotherapist but nothing seems to help. Anyone experiencing a similar issue?

I was walking on my tip toes too ! Nails growing up as well. Don’t give up! I stomp my feet to remind my brain and feet to keep going. Yes it hurts as well.Less sugar less inflammation.

Fittzer, you do what you have to do to get a good nights sleep. It worked for me. Bean

For the curling toes I also tried stiff shoes, no bare feet or sandals and slept in bed with sneakers. The shoes helped as it did not allow my toes to bend and kept them straight. Bean

I had an injury to my back and after receiving deep spinal injections I began The curling toes which I believe was the first noticeable symptom. It progressed into both feet and the podiatrist wanted to cut the ligaments but then they don't move at all. He said I had more problems than I know. I was diagnosed with PD that January. I couldn't roll over in bed and anxiety was increased along with pain. Also lost sense of smell. I have keloids, which is excess scar tissue so not usually a candidate for surgery. It's the hard and painful part of my symptoms making it unbearable to walk. The tips of toe Bones hurts so badly and the nail bed was damaged so my nails grow upwards rather than straight. It's painful and makes it more difficult to do anything such as walking, standing, showing, cooking, etc. Good luck. I have to sit or lie around too much.
