How do I deal with the delusions/hallucinations my husband is having, he thinks we should sell our condo that we just purchased because we have all these people in the house, he won't go into our office because there is a lady in there that won't go away. We can't get into a neurologist until May. I am at my wits end,
These hallucinations are very real to the person having them. My father had Parkinson’s, and numerous hallucinations to go along with it. Don’t tell him their not real. Ask him about them. What they’re doing. If they aren’t threatening, and he can get used to them, then he will be better able to deal with these events. If they are threatening or scary in any way. You need to get him to a psychiatrist or psychologist ASAP.

I had him into the emergency room, the ER doctor even put in a referral for a neurologist,after about 4 days I called the neurologist office, they denied the referral, said they weren’t taking new patients, I said it was a referral from the emergency room, it didn’t make any difference. They said I could check Bismarck,ND. I am going to call a mental health office here in Minot,ND maybe they can help.
Did you consider going to an Emergency room? A doctor suggested that to me when we knew it would be months to get anybody to see my husband. He said, they won't treat older people with serious illnesses, but he thought we'd get a specialist more quickly.
