What do you do when your Dr says, after ,,1 1/2 years, that he thinks it's not PD? When he first said it was he called in a muscle specialist who agreed that it is PD. I was also led to believe that carbidopa/Levodopa was the litmus test...if it stops the tremors, which it did, then it's PD. I'm in a small town....only other Neuro is in that group and I can't change to someone else in the group...so second opinion is unavailable. Thanks
C:L has always been the litmus test. He was right in the first place. If theC:L works there’s no reason to stop it. If he won’t prescribe it ask your PCP.
There’s also a skin test he could do which is about 95% effective for a Parkinson’s diagnosis
