Antidepressants

A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have severe issues with freezing and festinating and levodopa / carbidopa doesn't help. Has anyone had any good results with antidepressants? If so, which one has helped you?

Jack-
I do ask my neurologist these questions ( I'd be a fool if I did not- if that is what you are insinuating) this site is used for common concerns. I like to hear what everyone else does or hears of. I take the advise and use it or not -I do NOT expect to get a doctor's recommendation. Your post was unnecessary and rude.

Ginny,
I have tried LSVT last year and it did help a little but it has progressed a lot since. Then I had a issue with the bill- the PT charged my insurance over 24,000 for 4 weeks of therapy!!!! That left me with a bill over 2,000!! So, I cannot afford to do that again. I am very intent with my walking but the festinating and freezing still happens.
