Does Anyone Suffer With Sciatica Along With Your PD?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

My husband is in constant pain from sciatica. It is very difficult for him to sit for any length of time. We will try to watch a movie and he can't make it all the way to the end. He has had a spine stimulator implanted and still suffers. Any advice?

There are exercises to help you with sciatica. Check with your Doctor.
The exercises helped me. I am no longer dealing with sciatica. Good Luck..

Yes! Thank you Dale for the clarification! The procedure is basically burning the nerves causing the pain. Eventually, the nerves do regenerate so the procedure may need to be repeated. Mine lasted almost 3 years.

RFA is Radio Frequency Ablation.

I have had RFA and it completely eliminated my sciatic nerve pain. Prior to that, I did get several steroid/lidocaine injections which worked for short periods of time. Typically doctors want to do the injection to identify and confirm the site of pain. I highly recommend the RFA. It was approximately a 30 minute procedure done with guided tomography. You go home with no lifting restrictions for a few days. Worth it!
