He had the datscan but no one said anything about levels. Just that he had PD. When the apD specialist saw him she is the one that said it was the PSP. They are giving him the carbidopa-levodopa 2 pills 3 times a day. It has helped with cognitively but not his walk or slo
w movements or falling backwards. Have to do this for a month to see if it helps.

Did he have a datscan done to measure his dopamine levels? I think that helps determine if it is a similar neuro problem or true Parkinson's. I've seen folks with supraneuclear palsy and it looked a little different. Eventually the head is tilted skyward so the person doesn't see where they are walking.

Those are all very good reasons. PSP is worse than Parkinson’s. I certainly hope it isn’t PSP.
