My husband has Parkinson’s and in the past he has hallucinations, people in our house, our doors are always locked even when we are in the house, he has been pretty good lately but now are adult children are coming home for a visit, I am afraid that this is going to get him all confused again and we will have to start all over again. I really want them home for a visit, but I am worried. Any advice?
My husband has the exact same issue. But for him I have found that he doesn’t worry as much when others are there. I think it even makes him feel safer. Kinda like more people will be there to help him if he needs it. When they leave I reassure him the the windows and doors are locked.
Thank you, yes they know their dad has PD and that he is struggling, they have offered to get hotel rooms, but I really want them here . Your prayers will help me .
This is so hard !! 😢
Prayers your way .
My husband does not take medication for hallucinations. He does have rem disorder and acts out his dreams. He has started taking clonazepam and that helps. Next week I have people coming to put alarms on the windows and doors in case he tries to leave the house in the middle of the night.
