Has anyone been to inpatient rehab for Parkinson I have been in the hospital for falls and they told me that I can't go home I have to go to a rehab center for inpatient pt. I was just wondering if anyone has gone to a place and did it help
Yes I was 73 now 75 it showed a large improvement the program was called BIG.
When I arrived my pyhsical check up rated 54 when I was done it was 94.
First they know exactly what your PD needs are.
Second and most important the total plan was designed to my personal needs. The exercises I found on the internet were totally wrong for me, the exercises I took were much being tailor made.
Good Luck
Yes it helps alot depending on your age I also recommend rocksteady boxing
My husband recovered from falls/strokes in in-patient rehab back in 2018. That facility was fantastic. They had him two types of therapy (PT, OT, Speech Therapy, etc.) every day. It helped so much. Unfortunately, we moved later that year, so when he needed to go to in-patient therapy after a fall where he broke his pelvis, he was sent to a different place. It was awful. He didn’t even have one therapy session most days. So I would suggest you do what we didn’t and research the places available.
Thank you very much for your your help 😊 how long were you there?
