There are no local PD support groups in that I have been able to locate in my area. I’ve contacted a Parkinson’s.org ambassador for my region & he didn’t know of any either. Ideally it would geared towards Early onset, but coming up blank.

If you have a YMCA in town I would check their resources.
Have you tried asking your GP? Specialist? Local hospital? Long shot, but any local care/retirement homes?
Robin…go ahead and invent the wheel.
Believe it or not, there are 2 in Northern KY that support NKY and Ohio but both are in person meetings and I don't drive. The virtual meeting in the covid period were great for me but since there is a preference for in person meetings, the in person meetings restarted about 1 yr ago so you all are stuck with me- and I love ya!
Robin, I'm so happy you plan to do this. Understanding and support from those who get it is so important.
You may want to check with this group, The Parkinson's Foundation and/or MJFox Foundation for help and information as well. I know they ca recommend speakers and resources to share when your group is up and running. Perhaps they can offer you guidance in starting such an essential resource.
Thank you for doing this and best of luck,
Maria
Thank you! I’m hoping there is something established so I don’t have to re-invent the wheel ;)
So glad to hear the DBS has been so successful for your dad!
