My area has different exercise classes 5 times a week, for free!! I need to take it more. Boxing is my favorite. As everyone says, moving is best for us.

We haven't been to any of the regular monthly meetings but I understand that they have a guest speaker most of the time. They may be a physical therapist or nutritionist or someone talking about a PD medication or treatment. The only event we attended was a showing to Michael J. Fox's movie about his life.

Ask your neurologist/MDS if they know any support groups in your area. My GP also had her assistant look up contact information for me a few years ago. Or if you have a local Agency on Aging. Our Parkinson's support group meets at the local nursing home. I got information from my husband's Rock Steady group, but it also had some contact information in the Blue Book put out for Seniors in the area.
