My husband has Parkinson’s disease. Our understanding was fermented foods/wine etc. should be avoided. Is it ok?

I have so little opportunities to have a glass of wine, that I'm willing to risk it. LOL

My Dad’s first neurologist said it was OK to have a little bit of wine. There is no adverse reaction with the sinement medication. My Dad has a little bit of wine with dinner or in the afternoon with cheese and crackers. His 2nd neurologist said it was OK as well.
