Does Parkinson's Disease Cause Problems With Hearing/ears/brain?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

Age 82, PD 8 years. I am becoming more and more sensitive to loud or unexpected noises. Loud conversations are almost painful to listen to, and unexpected noise startle me to where I almost jump from sitting position.

I am more sensitive to sound. I had trouble with tinnitus several months before other symptoms began to show up. The tinnitus is still fairly consistent and worsens when I'm not feeling good. I also have a lot of problems with brain fatigue to the point when it is bad I can barely function.

Been there and still am. Crowds and the noise that goes with it, bother me as well.

I had those sensivities with noise and light all my life; I don't think this is from PD, but we never know.🤫
