Low Blood Pressure
I believe I asked this question before with few answers, probably because there are no answers.
My ex-husband (and best friend of 49 years) has PD. The tremors are under control but his blood pressure is extremely low. I don’t live with him but he tells me often that he passes out when he stands up which, of course, alarms me greatly. He went to the doctor about 4 weeks ago and the top reading of his BP was 50. That’s extremely low. The meds prescribed to lower it aren't working. There… read more
I also suffer from low blood pressure. I think PD is to blame but also A fib. Lightheadness is part of ortho static hypertension. You can faint when your BP gets that low. I stay home if it's low. You don't want to fall. Who knows what you might break.
My HWP had low blood pressure at 2 recent office visits. First at PCP and also at Cardiologist. Cardiologist cut one of his heart meds (Entresto) and that seems to have worked. My husband also suffers from neuropathy where his hands, feet, face burn and turn red. No dr seems able to address this. He was convinced that one of his meds was causing it. I don’t think so, but to prove it to him, we stopped ALL meds for 3 days. We are just now starting to add them back. Will let you know if BP becomes a problem as we add meds back.
