A lot of things can cause Parkinson's. For some people (about 5%) it's genetic. Traumatic Brain Injury can cause PD. So can some medications, like those given for BPD. Chemical exposure can cause it, especially herbicides, pesticides, Agent Orange, contaminated water, etc. Blood clots can cause Parkinson's symptoms (Vascular Parkinson's). Then there are a number that have no obvious cause, at least, the cause isn't known yet. I've read that there is some research about issues in the digestive system that may lead to PD.

I did not know I have PD for a long time. I kept going to the Dr. and finally when the tank was dry I came in at stage 2 and one half. The Dr. said I had it ten to fifteen years before they figured it out....At that point I had a very weak leg and no arm swing on one side. I am a kick butt warrior and managed a maturity store and that had me running around all day with my girls. That kept me strong.

Hi Russell How are you doing? From the research I have done it said that PD can be caused from high level daily stress. It can also be caused by chemicals getting into you system. It can also run in families. I got mind from a nausea pill my Dr. gave me.............Hope this helps.
