Members discussing evening 'off' symptoms with Parkinson's disease widely agreed that fatigue and GI issues, especially constipation, are common challenges that often worsen in the afternoons and evenings. Several members shared helpful strategies including short afternoon naps, Sinemet dose adjustments made with their neurologist, eating oatmeal daily, and a home remedy of equal parts peanut butter and molasses for constipation relief. A recurring theme was that mornings tend to feel better, and working closely with doctors to adjust medications can make a real difference in managing symptoms.

I was constipated all the time from the narcotic pain medication. I was taking for my spinal stenosis. When I started eating oatmeal every morning? I became absolutely regular and haven't had a problem with constipation since

I take Ratary. Through the help called Pan Foundation. It’s got a delayed release formula. There is no freezes anymore. Now you have to get help through the Pan Foundation. Because it’s expensive but the factor, it works.

Susan369, Good to hear from you; I am always tired, too. The medicines I'm on all indicate "sleepiness" as a side effect. I fall asleep at table, computer, etc. If I take a nap (about 1 1/2 hrs) it does not prevent my still falling asleep. Do you think your "stomach" issues are due to meds, too? What kind of trouble do you have? Ever speak with your doctor or gastroenterologist about this?

How is your rescue kitty doing? His/her name? I love cats (dogs, too) and have had at least one cat in my home since I was born. Last year our "last" cat died and I've been seeking a new one, but right now the vet bills are simply too high.

I go to bed around 9 pm. Even tho I take a nap, I am exhausted. Sometimes I have stomach issues too.
