I have been in physical therapy for 20 years. I think my back and severely arthritic knees and feet are the cause for my spasms. My PT also told me the drinking pickle juice or swallowing a spoonful of mustard can substitute for the apple cider vinegar. I find the apple cider vinegar to be a godsend for my inner thigh muscle spasms. Usually eases the spasm in a couple of minutes.
I wish you good luck, as I know how painful it can be.😩
Great to know, re: the apple cider vinegar. I will get some tomorrow. Thanks!
For me,It depends on which muscles are .affected. Theraworks helps me to resolve more minor cramps, but inner thigh cramps, which are the worst for me, are resolved in a few minutes if I drink a mixture of 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar and juice. Don’t drink the vinegar without missing it with the juice. Prince your mouth thoroughly afterwards, as the vinegar is hard on tooth enamel.
Trying Apple Cider Vinegar for the first time today. Don't think I diluted it quite enough. Got a brand called "Osu" with a hint of ginger, actually available in my local Supermarket (Asda, for the UK bids reading this).
Good advice about the effect of the acidity on tooth enamel though.
I have leg cramps but have blamed them on the total knee replacement (left knee) I had 4 months ago as I only have them in the left leg. I wasn't sure how PD played a role, if any, in this, but apparently, it might! I use a rolling pin on the area to work out the cramp and have tried the CVS version of Theraworks. I want a better solution as these things are band-aids. Would physical therapy help maybe? I'll try the apple cider vinegar and juice; thanks for that suggestion!
