I just retired in April-thank goodness that I was able to take an early retirement along with SS Disability-I feel very blessed to have those options available to me. I am 60 and didn't plan on retiring until, at least, 62. But being a teacher it was very apparent that I could no longer walk, talk or write like I did anymore.
Hi Jamie one of the hardest things I've done was to give up work. I wish you all the best 🙂
I am still working but will retire in 5 months, but just because of my age. I haven't experienced many symptoms that slow me down much as of yet. I know not everyone necessarily experiences the same symptoms during their journey.
I retired from The Dept. Of Social Services in NY. 20 years ago. I worked there 30 plus years. I would now be considered disabled and unable to work. Retirement is a beautiful thing until you get sick
Alot of us are retired and I couldn't work if I wanted to and not from Parkinson I have back problems
