I'm now taking a new prescription to control cramping and semi-paralysis.
Zanaflex is a very powerful muscle relaxant. But it doesn't return your bodily control to you- it just takes away...everything.
It helps you by doing the same thing the illness does.
But I now could not do without it.
That's the question I'm asking. When did you know how it is?
Thank you for responding. Yes, I'd rather a clean death without the indignity of slowly losing control of my own body wit all that entails. Good luck to you in the future. Be as well as you can be.
Rocksteady boxing and exercise have helped me alot my problem is my mind still thinks I'm young but my age is slowing it down alot
Hi Robert, I don't want to say I've gone back to the way I was before my diagnosis but I'm definitely improving since my DBS surgery. There are struggles, but they're molehills not mountains. Just keep talking openly, consistently, truthfully and often with your care team ❤️🩹
Good day Robert, I don't know if I completely believe that a person cannot go back because my husband has seen a lot of improvements in the past several months so finding the right match for you may help you in this pursuit
Yes, I can only count on one thing with this illness. The pain takes over the longer you have PD. I am unable to take any pain meds except for Tylenol, and you know how well it works. I'm allergic to all opioids, and can't do NSAIDs because of my Stage 3 Kidney disease. All I have is lidocaine cream, but it only does so much for so long.
I wish you well in your effort to ease your pain. I recommend 100mg THC (yes, Medical Marijuana) gummies for bad days and with any insomnia you might have.
