Janet parkinson's doesn't seem to have predictable path for everyone. There is so much unknown about the disease. Research is ongoing and critical. Every case is different in symptoms, severity and treatment options. It is important to have a trusted movement specialist/neurologist. The need to find exercise that you enjoy works best so it doesn't seem a chore. There are alot of us out there trying to live well with PD. I encourage you to find new retirement plans
What is possible? Given your specific givens. Best of luck! You are not alone!
Thanks for your reply
It’s a tough road to be on for sure!
I’m trying to stay positive.. the plan we had for retirement is not going to happen.
Janet, it varies with the person. In my case the disease started out with my fear of driving long distances on the freeway. I guess my body was trying to tell me something. I then started to have walking difficulties. Fast forward five years. The two biggest problems I have now is still walking problems and weak arms. I am now having problems getting in and out of and moving around in bed. I have hope that someday this disease will completely leave me.
