Thanks for your replies. I wish there was something I can do. I just need to keep strong and continuously remind mysel this is Parkinsons and not my husband.
My husband also has hallucinations and delusional, believes his older brother is here all the time, he has never been here, believes same brother wants our house and cars, I tell him , brother is not interested in our house or anything else we have , wants to know why he doesn’t eat dinner with us .
Wish I had an answer for you. My husband with PD trusts me. But he has always been a worrier, glass half empty, suspicious others are trying to get the best of him personality. I attribute some of that to the PD. Our biggest issue right now is more along the lines of hallucinations rather than delusions. Example, last night he woke me screaming. Insisted something, maybe a snake, was in his bed biting him. Of course there was nothing, much less a snake, in his bed. I wish I could tell you something to fix the problem, but I just don’t have answers. Have you spoken with his doctor about it? Sometimes medication makes the mental things worse, and a lower dose or change can help.
