I still drive. The state put me thru alot for license renewal because I have PD. I let my wife and daughter be the judge. When they feel it is time, that will be it.
At TeresaBaker2. I’m sorry that happened to you. I’m trying to give my husband my observations and let him make the call. But I’ve also told him I won’t let him get to the point where he’s at risk to himself or others. I think it will be much better if he makes the decision himself.
My husband has good control of the vehicle however I do a lot of the driving so he can take a break.
That s exactly my experience, a few seconds and not only driving. I take a few seconds longer to make decisions and choices. Sad I think because the world can't wait a few seconds whatever your doing.
Hello Cathy, good morning to you from England Island in the sun ! 😀😁😃😄😎
My driving sadly has got slowly worse. Road position, i.e. the distance between the centre and the curb is sometimes an issue. The other day I was driving in a rural area and I thought I was too close to the curb. My fears were quickly confirmed. In a split second, bits of freshly painted picket fence along with tufts of grass and an eclectic arrangement of flowers and shrubs littered my windscreen and bonnet. I was passing through a garden ! The grass was wet and since I didn't want to get stuck, I continued on my way, joining the road to the sound of truck horns, narrowly missing a small stream along the way, it all happened so fast.
Don't get me started on cars, we'll be here all day ! SUV 's suit me the best. Not too low, not too high easy to get in and out. If you are able to spoil yourself an Audi Q7 on air suspension ..... your husband will think he's in paradise !
So the right time to stop ? You will just know. Red lights, junctions, roundabouts, blue lights and officials in uniform are all clues !
I wish you and your husband a pleasant day Cathy 😄😄😄😄
